Welcome to the media section of Heaviness in Metal Music Production (HiMMP), a research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) between 2020 and 2024 and hosted at the University of Huddersfield. HiMMP explored how heaviness is created and controlled in metal music production through expert interviews, producer showcases, and in-depth analyses.
